So as a Multiclass monk there is an issue with the ammount of attacks you get in HeroLab compared to what you actually shoud get
As Mathias Gehl has mentioned on this issue "The Core rulebook takes precedence over the conversion guide. Rules questions should be answered based on the complete text of an ability, and the text of the Flurry of blows ability in the Core Rulebook uses monk level, not BAB, for its calculations."
Well by actually reading the Monk's abilitys this is not entirely true, the only part of a FoB that is monk level dependent is the attacks gained at 1st,8th and 15th Level of Monk, and the change in BAB bonus. Well by telling me this it was clear he has not read the full text of the ability.
Besides that, reading the text clearly states that FoB is a Full Attack Action, if taking what Mathias Gehl said as true and its based off Monk Levels not BAB then acording to the Full Attack Rules A lvl 20 Monk should only have 4 attacks in total the normal attack all characters have, and the 3 attacks gained from FoB at 1,8 and 15th level, but if you read the FoB it states "For the purpose of these attacks, the monk’s base attack bonus is equal to his monk level." then it makes perfect sence and conforms to existing rules, And a 20th lvl monk when using FoB would have a BAB of 20 (because when using FoB BAB gained from monk levels are treated as equal to there monk level) So the Monk gets +20/+15/+10/+5 (all attacks after the first are the attacks gained form BAB progression becauses BAB reaches +6, again at +11 and one last time at +16 as stated by the BAB rules), because the character has reached 1st,8th and 15th Levels in Monk he gains the offhand attacks of +20/+15/+10 givig a total of BAB +20/+20/+15/+15/+10/+10/+5 Then adding in the -2 modifire for an Attack Bonus(not BAB) of +18/+18/+13/+13/+8/+8/+3
Pg. 11 Core Rule Book
Base Attack Bonus (BAB)
Each creature has a base attack bonus and it represents its skill in combat. As a character gains levels or Hit Dice, his base attack bonus improves. When a creature's base attack bonus reaches +6, +11, or +16, he receives an additional attack in combat when he takes a full-attack action (which is one type of full-round action—see Chapter 8).
Pg. 187 Core Rule Book
Full Attack
If you get more than one attack per round because your base attack bonus is high enough (see Base Attack Bonus in Classes), because you fight with two weapons or a double weapon, or for some special reason, you must use a full-round action to get your additional attacks. You do not need to specify the targets of your attacks ahead of time. You can see how the earlier attacks turn out before assigning the later ones.
The only movement you can take during a full attack is a 5-foot step. You may take the step before, after, or between your attacks.
If you get multiple attacks because your base attack bonus is high enough, you must make the attacks in order from highest bonus to lowest. If you are using two weapons, you can strike with either weapon first. If you are using a double weapon, you can strike with either part of the weapon first.
Pg.57 Core Rule Book
Flurry of Blows (Ex): Starting at 1st level, a monk can make a flurry of blows as a full-attack action. When doing so, he may make one additional attack, taking a –2 penalty on all of his attack rolls, as if using the Two-Weapon Fighting feat (even if the monk does not meet the prerequisites for the feat). These attacks can be any combination of unarmed strikes and attacks with a monk special weapon (he does not need to use two weapons to utilize this ability). For the purpose of these
attacks, the monk’s base attack bonus is equal to his monk level. For all other purposes, such as qualifying for a feat or a prestige class, the monk uses his normal base attack bonus.
At 8th level, the monk can make two additional attacks when he uses flurry of blows, as if using Improved Two-Weapon Fighting (even if the monk does not meet the prerequisites for the feat).
At 15th level, the monk can make three additional attacks using flurry of blows, as if using Greater Two-Weapon Fighting (even if the monk does not meet the prerequisites for the feat).
A monk applies his full Strength bonus to his damage rolls for all successful attacks made with flurry of blows, whether the attacks are made with an off-hand or with a weapon wielded in both hands. A monk may substitute disarm, sunder, and trip combat maneuvers for unarmed attacks as part of a flurry of blows. A monk cannot use any weapon other than an unarmed strike or a special monk weapon as part of a flurry of blows. A monk with natural weapons cannot use such weapons as part of a flurry of blows, nor can he make natural attacks in addition to his flurry of blows attacks.
Pg. 5 Pathfinder Conversion Guide (this is a clarification, it dose not actually change any rules in the Pathfinder Core Rule Book)
Monk (page 56)
Many of the monk’s signature abilities have received an
overhaul in the Pathfinder RPG rules. Chief among these are
alterations to the flurry of blows mechanic, wider options in
bonus feats, and the addition of the ki pool mechanic (which
many other abilities are now a part of ). To convert your monk,
take the following steps.
• In addition to the bonus feats gained at 1st, 2nd, and
6th levels, monks now gain an additional bonus feat for
every 4 levels beyond 6th. The list of bonus feats that can
be selected is enlarged, so make sure to check your feats
versus those on the list (see page 58). In addition, all monks
now receive Stunning Fist as a bonus feat at 1st level. At
higher levels, they can even substitute different effects
(other than stun for 1 round) when performing such attacks
(see page 59).
• A monk’s base attack bonus when performing a flurry of
blows is now equal to his level. His attacks are made as if
using Two-Weapon Fighting (and its improvements at later
levels). Table 3–10 summarizes these bonuses. Change your
flurry of blows base bonuses to match these values (plus
any increases to your base attack bonus from other classes,
which might give you additional attacks with your primary
strike). Note that other increases to your base attack bonus
do not increase the number of attacks you can make with
your off hand, as the bonus feats to gain these attacks are
not gained until you reach the required level of monk.
Aditional monk stuff from the official Pathfinder FAQ by the Pathfinder design team and its members
Monk Flurry BAB FAQ
"Monk: The monk rules for flurry state, "For the purpose of these attacks, the monk's base attack bonus is equal to his monk level." How does this interact with BAB from class levels and racial Hit Dice? Does a multiclassed fighter 19/monk 1 flurry as if his BAB were only +1?
A monk using flurry treats his BAB from monk levels as equal to his monk level. He still adds BAB from other sources (such as other classes or racial Hit Dice) normally to this total.
So a fighter 19/monk 1 has a normal BAB of +19. When he flurries, he treats his monk BAB as +1 (for his 1 level of monk) and still gets BAB +19 from his fighter levels, for a total flurry BAB of +20."
—Sean K Reynolds, 09/10/10
Example
Lvl 6 Monk
Normal BAB +4
Flurry BAB +6
When using FoB you should have +6/+1 then because you are at least a
lvl 2 monk you gain an additional attack at your highest BAB granting
+6
For a total Flurry BAB of +6/+6/+1
You then add in the -2 attack modifre for using FoB bringing you to a total attack modifire of +4/+4/-1 (before other additional modifires)
Example2
Lvl 3 Monk/3 Fighter
Normal BAB +5
Flurry BAB +6
When using FoB you should have +6/+1 then because you are at least a
lvl 2 monk you gain an additional attack at your highest BAB granting
+6
For a total Flurry BAB of +6/+6/+1
You then add in the -2 attack modifre for using FoB bringing you to a total attack modifire of +4/+4/-1 (before other additional modifires)
But for example 2 it only shows as +4/+4 in HeroLab
HeroLab has a bug for not adding in the Iterative attacks gained for
having a high base attack bonus when using FoB when Multiclassing
HeroLab uses the FoB chart for the monk and then boost all the bonuses
= to the BAB gained from other classes but fail to add in the
Iterative attacks from actually having the high BAB.
FoB Scales off of BAB (like all Full Attacks) and the effective bonus feats gained at the appropreate monk levels, by not folling this HeroLab is calculating FoB for Multiclass monks wrong ang going aginst what the designers have stated on how FoB is supposed to work.
