I just updated and it wont let me reauthorize my licence. This is the 3 time this has happened during an updates and its getting really annoying. I love the product but have to wait a week to use the software after an update is getting old. something needs to be done about this.
This sounds like something very odd is going on with your computer. If Hero Lab was running fine and fully licensed, installing an update will require you to re-authorize your license, but there should be zero problems with the process. The only thing that would cause the process to fail is if the "identity" of your computer changes, and that should only occur if you have made a fundamental change to your environment.
The only exception I've seen before is a couple of times with weird security software configurations. The security program spoofs information that Hero Lab relies on, which it changes. This results in Hero Lab thinking the configuration has changed, because the security software is telling Hero Lab that it is different.
This is something that probably try to sort out via email, since I'll need to ask you for more details about your license and your computer configuration. Please send as much detail as you can about your system to me at helpdesk at wolflair dot com. I need to know what version of Windows you're running, what security software you're running, etc. I also need to know your license number to check some details on our server.
Also, it should *not* be taking a week to get your license sorted out each time. If you use the mechanism Hero Lab offers at the completion of the Reactivate License wizard, you should be back up and running within 24-48 hours. Is that not occurring? If not, I need to know the details so I can find out what's going wrong with the process on our end.
