Hero Lab Portfolios

I got problems with HL that I thought I would share with you. (LWD are aware of the problems, just letting RW users know.)

First of all, if you are in RW and create a HL portfolio, when you've finished with the portfolio in HL, and close it, you might get a problem when you get back into RW. The file will update in RW, but I got a error message and RW exited.

Right now, it might be easier to not create a HL portfolio in RW... (Maybe it's my PC?)

The second problem is when I try and save a portfolio that already exists in RW.

I can edit in HL, but can't save the original file as it is Read Only. It can be saved elsewhere, then imported to RW. (But that defeats the object...)

Zaph.

The crash bug when creating a Hero Lab portfolio is not something I've seen before, so we'll need to investigate that. I assume you submitted the crash report, right??? :)

In the second problem you cite, it sounds like you inadvertently selected the portfolio for *viewing* instead of editing. If you view the portfolio, it will be read-only, exactly as you describe. However, if you edit the portfolio, you can edit it within Hero Lab, save your changes, and Realm Works will automatically detect the changes and offer to import them into the database. To edit, make sure you click the down-arrow on the menu and select the edit option instead of the default view option. :)

The Create Portfolio crash happened to me too. Also, creating a Statblock internally also crashed it. It pretty much happens on the save.
