Hero Lab on mac seems broken

It seems to not recognize its own version number. I am told there's a new version for the mac (8.0e), download 8.0e, install it, run it .. and it tells me there's an update for a new version for the Mac ... 8.0e.

For now, I just ignore the update, but ... when will we have a fix/version that doesn't have this problem?
