It's official! Hero Lab began arriving on store shelves earlier
today, and the online store is now open for purchasing Hero Lab
online. You can download the demo version online and take it for a
test drive at your leisure.
Please note that we did uncover some issues between the time Hero Lab
went to production and today. So we fixed those issues and the
current release online is V1.0a. If you purchase HL from your local
retailer, please make sure to use the integrated Updates mechanism to
retrieve the V1.0a update.
There are a few important details to be aware of with this release.
First of all, a few of the lesser used portions of the d20 SRD are
not yet included. Specifically, the current omissions are monstrous
races, psionics, NPC classes, and epic classes. These will be added
in an upcoming release (free, of course). Secondly, the tools and
documentation for adding your own custom material are not quite
finished yet. They will be included in an update before the end of
the year, which is less than two weeks away. So, to those of you
wanting to add your own material, please be patient just a little
while longer for that capability.
