Hero Lab custom output for Fantasy Grounds

Version 1.0.2 (Fix missing Cleric/Druid spells)
Copy the contents of the attached .zip file into your customoutput/5e folder.

This is the path on my Windows 10 box.

C:\ProgramData\Hero Lab\customoutput\5e

So, after you've uncompressed it, you should see a path of:
C:\ProgramData\Hero Lab\customoutput\5e\fantasygrounds\

And inside that folder, you should see two files:
output.xml, fgstatblock.xsl

When these are in place, you will find a new menu item:
File -> Save Custom Output...,
Click 'Character Output for Fantasy Grounds'

This will create an XML file that you can then import into Fantasy Grounds.

Please let me know any strangeness so that I can get it fixed.

Note: I was originally using spellbook instead of spells memorized, but this prevented Cleric/Druid spells from displaying, since they don't have spellbooks).

Thanks,

Dave

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to install the customoutput folder but somehow the option to choose the customoutput option for fantasy grounds never shows in HL.

Obviously i'm doing something wrong. hero lab is not installed in the default path on my machine. Could that be the reason?

Maybe someone could help guide me to the correct install path and procedure.

Many thanks in advance.

Hey there, Boomer. I grabbed this quite a while back and then I completely forgot that I installed it. Last night, I tested it with all sorts of ridiculous builds from Hero Lab and every single one imported very well. I realize that this thread is a few months old, but I am commenting because I think this is a great tool and am now plotting out a new campaign since I have an easy way to make PC and (with a bit more work) NPCs for D&D 5e. Thanks!

It's not Program Files, it's ProgramData (which is normally a hidden folder). If you go to the Tools menu in Hero Lab and select Explore Folders > Program Data Folder it will open Hero Lab and you should see the customoutput folder.

Thanks, that worked. However, for some reason, the 7th level paladin I exported can up as 0 strength. I wonder if it was the ioun stone?
