Help with wizards and spells

I am having 2 issues with selecting spells for my wizard using Hero Lab, both with the iPad app and on my PC.

1. I cannot figure out how to assign a charge to scribing new spells into my spellbook.

2. I cannot figure out how to memorize metamagiced spells in my higher level spell slots. The specific spell I am looking to memorize is intensified burning hands in a 2nd-level slot. The program won't even let me put a regular burning hands into the slot without throwing up an error.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
1) You can enter negative values in journal entries to spend money.

2) The very first item when preparing spells is "-Custom/Metamagic Spell-"
 
1) Just use the journal tab and subtract the amount of gold for the scribing cost.

2) When you select spells to prepare at the top of the list should be something like Custom/Metamagic spell and you can build it in there.
 
I never even thought of using a negative value in the journal section. OMG that is so simple.

And for the custom metamagic, would you believe I sat and looked at my monitor for 30 minutes last ngiht and never saw that link?
