Help With Monk Attacks

DarkKnight

New member
So far I'm really loving Hero Lab but I have a question. One of my characters is a monk and I'm wondering if there's a way to list the characters attack with the Flurry of Blows ability and either unarmed strikes or monk weapons like the Temple Sword, Brass Knucks, Quarterstaff, etc.

Also is there a way to see the attack with a weapon while using feats like Power Attack or Combat Expertise?

Thanks.

I haven't played with a Monk yet, so I can't answer your first question.

With respect to your second, if you have those feats added to your character, you should see them in the In-Play tab with checkboxes next to them. If you check the box, you should see changes to your Atk and Dmg values.

Risner created a really nice community add-on that does show FoB really nicely at least until a official change is made.

Check it out HERE.

Monk - Flurry of blows

I can't seem to find an answer to this:

I would like to add flurry of blows to the weapons list, with a correctly calculated attack and damage bonus

am I missing something?

Check it out HERE.

It gives the option of using flurry with anything in the drop down list but doesn't actually apply the flurry to the weapons. When I tried it with monk weapons, it showed up unless there were special abilities on the weapons (+1 kama was fine but +1 keen kama was not). A sohei with a longsword doesn't have the flurry show up with the longsword even when selected.

I have a feeling that it's calculating correctly but applying it to the unarmed strike. When I compared what the sohei should have, it matched up to the unarmed strike. I used a +5 longsword but did not give amulet of mighty fists so I could see a difference. That was the only test I did to confirm my suspicions so I could be completely wrong.

Hmm been a long time sense I looked at this addon made by Risner. I will add it to my own to-do list to see if I can figure out the reason. My first guess is could be timing on the "magic special weapons ie keen".

Thanks

Yes I'm having the same problem. I have a Zen Archer, and now that I've finally figured out how it works, on the print out, it adds FoB to Unarmed, but not to the Bow picked in the drop down. Where you able to figure this out?

Sorry if I sound pushy, but this is the character I really wanted Hero Lab for, and am sort of disappointed it's not doing what I want.
