Im having mayjor trouble w/ hero lab accepting a user created file for d20.i seem to be able to dlaod/save the file to my computer(it auto goes to the dowloads section on my laptop- im running windos 7 home premium and IE 8) cant seem to get it to install into hl's d20 files. can u help?

I'm guessing that you've overlooked an important detail here. Most likely, one of two situations is occurring:

1. If the file is a raw data file that has a ".user" extension, you need to copy this file into the game system folder. Since you mention d20, that would be the "c:\herolab\data\d20" folder (assuming you installed Hero Lab in the default location).

2. If the file is an import file with a ".hl" extension, you need to import the file into the game system. Load the game system, go to the Tools menu, and select Import File. Navigate to the file you downloaded and select it. Complete the import process.

After completing the above sequence (which is appropriate to the file you downloaded), reload the game system and the new content should be integrated.

thanks rob-
I'll try that(it is the one w/ user ext.im having troble getting it copied(let alone sending it to the hl d20 data file lol. im a newb.... but ive NEVER HAD this much trouble before haha:confused:

Ok, I email the Highlander.hl to you. Hopefully, all you need to do is double click it and it will install the file where they need to go.
