HELP!!!! I'm SHrinking....

Tappit

Member
Hi All.
First time post so be gentle :)

I am an olde time gamer who is getting back into gaming again with Pathfinder.

My character idea is for a cute halfling who can transform to an evil shredding angel if needed.
In game terms, a halfling synthesist with avian eidolon.
Since says it can be your size, so I took an Avian based eidolon.

The problem is, when I use the free evolution to shrink it to my small size, it applies the all the size change stats to the halfling himself, not the eidolon.

The first time I applied this, I saw my STR at a RED score of 1, I was massively encumbered, etc... and I noticed I was a TINY halfling now...lol
A quarterling maybe???

Anyway the shrink is being applied to the summoner not the pet.

Did I do something in the wrong order?

How can I fix this??

Any helpful replies greatly appreciated

Tappit :)

So no one else has noticed the size modifications being applied to the synthesist instead of the Eidolon???

Is this a non fixable problem with Hero Lab's code??

Anyone???

Sorry Tappit, I have no experience with Summoners, none of my players play one. However, the people most likely to be able to answer you are likely enjoying their weekend. :P To the people that work on Hero Lab, this is a 9-5 type of question... Don't worry, during the week they are pretty active. :)

Actually if he found a bug he should be officially reporting it not posting to the forums. That is how he can get an official report from LW. :)

General Hero Lab Support & Community Resources is a sticky thread at top of Forum where you request official support for issues. A bug is ANYTHING you think is not working correctly. Weather you know for a fact or are just wondering if it is wrong. Report it using the above links to get an official response from Lone Wolf. :)

@Tappit honestly its not allot of info you provided so it would be any "guessing" as to the reason. You would be better off posting full statblocks and the .por file so anyone would have a chance to figure out. My total "guess" would be the above is correct as you are a synthesist so you are wearing the the eidolon as armor. So when you shrink yourself from small then Tiny is the correct size.

Yes, it looks like a bug. The "Small Size" is automatically added to the "Fused Eidolon" panel, but seems to be affecting the host; and when you select "Fused Eidolon" the Halfling's size gets set to Medium.

Thanks for your help.

I followed your link and posted a detailed step by step reiteration of how to reproduce the bug. Hopefully they can fix it. I did not see a way on this forum or the error reporting forum to attach the statblock pdf or the .por file.
Am I missing something obvious

Again thanks for your help and all you do for HL... I'm a newbie to all this but looks like you post a lot of stuff to help the program/game

To provide support with a copy of your por file you can "reply" with your .por file to the auto response email you got when submitting your report. That will also help them narrow down the issue.

On the "reply" or new thread page if you scroll down past the "submit reply" button you see "additional options". Look for "Attach Files" section and press the "Manage Attachments" button. While only specific types of files are allowed one of them is .por.

No problem. Happy gaming! :D
