I am fairly new to Hero Lab's Editor, but love it so far. It's one of the most intuitive and easily maneuvered editors I've come across.
What I am trying to create is a race from a home brew world I've been working on. Below I will list a few of the problems I have encountered so far.
Breath Weapon: Racial Special Ability The race I'm creating has the racial ability Breath Weapon. I want players to be able to choose it's components during creation.
Breath type: 15ft Cone or 30ft Line.
Energy type: Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Thunder, Poison, Magma, Sand.
I also would like it to show up in their weapons section as a viable attack, as well as their consumable section (once per combat).
Nature: Racial Trait Option: The race has several racial traits it can choose from upon creation. (15 to be exact.) Each option grants a racial feat at levels 1, 3 and 9. Some of these feats grant bonuses to skills, while others give additional bonus racial special abilities.
I'd like the player to only be able to select one of these racial traits upon creation and only one. However; the way it is now still allows the player to take more than one.
I'd also like Hero Lab to hide any bonus feats the trait gives until the player has reached the specified hero levels to gain them.
For now this is the only major problems I am having. If someone can help me understand how to make this work, I imagine any future issues I have I can solve on my own.
