Helo on Stag's Helm

I downloaded the NPC files for the Kingmaker adventure path. I forget who made them, but they made the stag lords helm under his equipment. I have searched through the item database and it doesn't seem to exist. I have tried to create it under magic gear (as that is where it was located on the character sheet) and there was no way to make a helm; rings, potions, a few other neck slot items nut no helm/head slot items.

So how do I go about making this helm? The player's kept the helm and I am having a real hard time trying to add it to the character's sheet that now owns it.

Thanks

You will need to use the editor to create this kind of item. It can't be made using the "Magic" tab in the portfolio.

However, I think that item has been added by the HL developers. I haven't downloaded the Kingmaker NPCs, but I still have the item in the magic items list. It's called a "Stag's Helm". Try searching for that, but make sure you have the Kingmaker selection box checked in the "Configure Hero..." menu, first. That may be why it isn't showing up for the PC you are trying to work with.

I did the Kingmaker stuff. since i created the files, the Helm of the Stag Lord was added into HL as a magic item. you can just search for it like any other named magic iem.

You can create any kind of helm or other item you want by using the Editor. Using the custom item function in the hero's sheet would require a lot of additional programming, because helms tend to do things that wands, potions, etc. can't do.

For example, there's no way to use the custom item menu to create a "Ring of Thievery" that grants a bonus to Sleight of Hand skill checks. It's very easy to do that, though, through the Editor. I found it kind of intimidating, at first, but it's way easier than I thought it would be and opens up nearly limitless possibilities for the program.
