Having a hard time doing something simple

I am trying to add the Talented Fighter from Rogue Genius Games and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to do the talents. Forgive me for asking something simple. I had a brain injury recently and I can't remember some very simple things.
 
The Talented Monk is part of the community files. You could take a look at it to see how its done.

If I remember correctly I simple made everything a Custom Ability so that it could be selected as the character goes up in levels.

Basically "Monk Edges" where Custom Ability setup as Primary. Then "Monk Talents" where Custom Abilities setup as Secondary. This allowed me to easily control the correct number gained each level.

Thanks. I was having a hard time thinking clearly. I want to get this done so I can send it off to you. I haven't done anything in Hero Lab in quite some time.
