Hacked

It appears my original license has been hacked by someone. I've used my original HeroLab on this laptop since 2012 and now it's registered to someone/something named "NEO."

HeroLab website only seems to have an email support service, which is dissappointing in this instance because I've got a game to play today and I need to use my HeroLab software. A phone number with direct support would be nice.

I filled out an early license reassignment form but I think my license number will need to be changed since it has been hacked. I've also got 4 other secondary licenses and am now worried that everything will be all screwed up.

What really sucks is that I've got a game today which I won't be able to play...

If you want to upload the por I can get you a PDF copy of it. LW is a fairly small company they cannot handle the call volume that they would get. Plus this is a Saturday, after a holiday, odds are even if they had phone support it wouldn't be available now.

If you can still log in to your license page, do the following things:

1. If you haven't already done so, change your email password IMMEDIATELY.
2. If you can, set up two-factor authentication for your email account.
3. If you have an alternate email account, make sure it has two-factor authentication.
4. If you don't have an alternate account, create a gmail account, and set it up with two-factor authentication.
5. Log in to your license management page and update your email address to your alternate account or new gmail account.
6. Use one of your 4 secondary licenses.

Further notes:

a. It's not likely that your email account has been hacked, but don't take any risks.
b. Updating your account info to an alternate email address will prevent anyone who has your current email address from accessing your license management page.
c. After step 5, you'll probably have to log back into the license management page with the new email address.
