Gestalt w/ PrC???

Hey guys,

Is it possible to use the gestalt via archetype solution we use in Hero Lab to create a gestalt of a PrC? For example, I have a level 10 gestalt Oracle/Rogue that I'd like to make a gestalt Oracle/Assassin (it's one of THOSE campaigns) going forward (last 10 levels of Rogue to Assassin).

I know this works if the new PrC is the first class in the gestalt (the one the archetype hangs off of), but I'm not seeing a path to get me to a PrC'd second class (which I need to do due to the limitation on spell casting abilities in the 'archetype').

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Mike

Can't you just create a new archetype which replaces the last 10 levels of rogue abilities with assassin ones?

As for the longstanding "Can't gestalt 2 spellcasting classes", my only advice would be to work out some way to use racial spellcasting for the 2nd class.

Can't stack archetypes like that within the same "face" class. If I was able to change to a "face" assassin archetyped to an oracle then it'd work great (swap the spellcasting class to the 'secondary' and have the PrC class as primary).

I'm not talking about stacking two archetypes. I mean create a new archetype and add that instead.

So you'd make a new Oracle archetype, adding each of the Assassin abilities to it (and taking the best HD/Save/BAB progression of the two).
