Gear for Animal Companions

I've set one of my races to be usable as an animal companion, but when a Druid selects it the race does not gain the free outfit that hirelings do.
So my question is: How do I code it to where my race, when selected as an animal companion, behaves as though it's a hireling (Free outfit, picks own class and skills, etc.)?
I've attempted to use the Hero.FullMinion tags and the 'Edit Minion' option to no avail, so if anyone can clear this up for me it would be appreciated.
Side Note: My main irk with this is because the race in question is intelligent, and doesn't start with common (Meaning they need to add the 2 points to INT in order to gain common as a language.). They also have a unique free outfit, which it can't access because of the above mentioned problem.

Never-mind, I found a work-around by precluding the free clothes and just telling everyone to pick their own starting set of clothes.

I'm glad you got a workaround. To answer your initial question, I'd have to see how you implemented it. If you want me to take a look at it, feel free to post your .user file here.

Some searching on the forums pointed me to the preclude option, so I just specified the Lone wolf content since I always check it in. I will be experimenting with the free clothes list though, so I'll post anything interesting here. Sorry for the somewhat dud thread, I tend to post my problems before searching on the forum.
