Functionality on Windows XP

Hello all! Considering purchasing HL with Authoring Kit to access 4E community made materials. My only concern at the moment is that HL reccomends post-XP operating systems, with XP as a minimum.

At the moment I only have an old busted laptop running XP to run this off of, wondering if that would have any severe impacts on its functionality to anyone that might have the experience?

Hello,

I'm with the Support wing of LWD here, and I'd like to encourage you to try it out. I still see a handful of users with Windows XP Devices from time to time and I believe you should be fine to use Hero Lab on your older laptop.

I'd suggest cleaning up the computer by running a defrag, check for registry issues, and ensure you have all your hardware running the most recent versions of their respective drivers but I don't anticipate you having too much trouble.

If you run into any problems send me an email, and I'll see if I can help troubleshoot your situation.

Thanks!

Used to work fine on WinXP from memory. I think their recommendation would be as a result of Microsoft no longer supporting WinXP.
