"Full" characters in "free" version?

So, I've been slowly whittling my group down, and may be getting close to getting them to pool their money together to purchase several Pathfinder bundles for Hero Lab. However, obviously, that would only be usable with a single license, and they're all "fiddlers". They'd rather be able to add individual items and/or level up themselves, with me (or whoever ends up with it) putting in things the beginner kit wouldn't give.

Is this something that's possible? Or would it simply make more sense for everyone to just buy the $35 base and then manually add in individual feats/etc. that are available completely for free on the SRD?

I'm sorry to say that a copy of Hero Lab used in demo mode can't save or print, so if you mean using HL in demo mode, that won't be an option for your players, except for playing around, and the Pathfinder Beginner Box is a different game system than the normal Pathfinder game, and you won't be able to load a character created in one of them using the other.

Yes, you can add some additional things to the beginner box using the editor, but a lot of concepts, like combat maneuvers, don't have any support in the beginner box, because that game doesn't use them, so you won't be able to handle everything that a full Pathfinder character needs.

I'd recommend just having each person purchase their own copy of Hero Lab.

Do your players have particular classes they favor? The Class Pack entry path is a pretty good value for an individual player if so, though not so much for the GM.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. And unfortunately, all our group likes to experiment, so it's not so quick and easy ;) Thanks for the rapid responses tho!
