Force formatting option

Would it be possible to create a flag to ignore formatting information when pasting data? I'm thinking specifically about things such as font, size, and color - which seem to vary quite a bit in published modules. Ideally, we could select a complete set of default choices to be used whenever this flag is set, including the choice "import with text". In this way I could specify Arial, 10 point, and black, while leaving Bold and Underline as set in the original source material.

I have been stripping formatting in my imports. It's an extra step and it got tedious a long time ago. It reformats everything as a single block of text into a uniform font and size. That works for me and would love to be able to import with automatic stripping enabled.

I really like Pyremius' suggestion as a smarter approach as the next step up. Retain the structure but redo the text formatting. Definitely something to aim for.
