If you are talking about all the weapons data etc. then this is all
entered within the options, almost all options in the 40k files use
apnd:foot

Does anybody know where those footnotes are defined ?

It seems not only being in the datafile belonging to the race.

I`m currently translating a 40k file into german and translated the option names as well.
When printing a roster, the weapon names in the footnotes are still in english.

How to handle that ? Where are coming those english weapon names from although I translated everything in the datafile into german ?

PS: When adding the "apnd:foot" to the translated option, it appears in the footlines, but the english footline entry is there as well.

That`s right, but I also have the footnotes containing the english entries.

Example:

-option "Fleshborer" for Gargoyles is translated into "Bohrkäferschleuder"
-apnd:foot is set
-description is also translated and set
-a printout roster only including one brood of gargoyles shows following footnotes:

"Bio-Plasma | ......"
"Fleshborer | .... (english description)"
"Bohrkäferschleuder | .... (german description)"

My question: How do I get rid of this english description ? Obviously it has nothing to do with the gargoyles unique option, because in this case it would have to be deleted due to multiple unique IDs.

Thanks anyway for everybody`s help, I solved the problem myself:

As I presumed the footnote contents are all located in the file "ALL Base.40k"

There you have to translate as well....
