Fobidden Arcana - focused Spellcaster

Am I missing something? Using karma gen mode.

Focused spellcaster gives free spells = current spellcasting ability +1 for specialization, and spells cost 4 Karma instead of 5

When I add it to my caster, all I see is each spell costing 4 karma - no free spells.

Likewise even before forbidden arcana was released, and continuing now, the adjustment for adding free spells doesn't appear to do anything.

Is this a bug, or am I missing something?
 
Nope, we're running into the same thing. No free spells, also when adding it as an advancement it doubles karma cost despite Mastery qualities being the sole exemption from that rule as far as I know. :)
