Feature Request: Rule Sets

Just going to toss this out there--I know everyone's going to be working on HLO for the forseeable future, but I just think it'd be nice to be able to save preset files of rules for a system that can be loaded in. Being able to set defaults is nice until you're DMing for several campaigns and they all run different rules so you gotta reset your defaults between campaigns constantly.

I wanted to make sure you had already tried the Duplicate Game System option in the Tools menu, keeping each campaign as a different copy. If you're going to +1 the existing request threads for this feature, you'll want to be specific about what you'd like to see that isn't handled by Duplicate Game System.

Duplicating a Game System is the only way to save a different set of "default" options the Configure Hero window.

I've moved this post to the Hero Lab Online forum, since you're asking about that program, not regular Hero Lab.

kenderbard, where are "Hero Options"? In HLO, there's a section called "Game Options", and in the desktop, there's a section called "Hero Settings", but I'm not familiar with the "Hero Options" you're talking about.

Couldn't you make an empty portfolio with the options you want, save it, (optionally) mark it read-only, and use it as a template?

That seems easier than duplicating the game system, but I'm not a power user of Hero Lab so there may be things I don't know about what all settings you're trying to keep.
