Feature request editor search tool

would it be possible to to make a search tool to find lost/misplaced files in the editor? search by file name or unique ID.

What do you mean by lost/misplaced files? Also if you're looking for what file has a specific ID in it, best way I've found is to use a decent text editor (TextPad, Notepad++, etc) and do a "Find in Files" and you can usually tell it what directory to search through and it'll look in all the files for that line of text. I use it a lot with the authoring kit when changing something across the board or trying to find where a specific item is referenced.

There is also PowerGrep. A bit on the pricy side, but an excellent tool when combined with RegexBuddy and RegexMagic.
