Quick question to which I believe I already know the answer.
If I'm trying to create a favored class option in a file to which the race and class already exist in other published files--say, Halfling Barbarian. Since those two things exist already, I cannot bootstrap the option to those classes; they aren't ones that I'm creating.
I think (in theory), I can copy either race or class and bootstrap the FCO to that copy, and enter the appropriate value in the "Replaces thing id" field. However, then if (somehow) those originals got updated, it would require work on my part.
Is there a way to have the FCO force the bootstrap in any way? Or is there something else I'm missing that would make this issue more easily remedied?
Thanks in advance.
