[FATE] Source selects Campaign Type?

Howdy!

In the Fate Core files, there is a Campaign selector on the Configure Hero screen that lets you choose between Fate Accelerated, Fate Core, Fate Core (Skill Columns) and Spirit of the Century.

I've set up an additional Campaign called MyCampaign which only shows to select when I've added the My Campaign source selection.

If I'm choosing to use the My Campaign source, I'm not worried about whether it's one of the existing Campaigns, I want to use the Campaign settings specific to that source.

Is it possible to have the MyCampaign campaign automatically selected when the source is selected?

I don't think so, but what you CAN do is this:

I have set up a set of files for Dresden Files. One of the files is my campaigns file. It's called DresdenFiles_campaigns.user.

I opened that file in the editor, and on the penultimate tab ("Preclude"), I put four entries.

For unique ID, source, I put:
camAccel, srcDresden
camColumns, srcDresden
camFatCore, srcDresden
camSpirit, srcDresden

The effect is that when someone selects the "Dresden Files" source, all those campaigns are hidden except for Fate Core, which is greyed out. The campaign selection is blanked out, but if someone leaves it blank and clicks through, they're dropped into the Fate Core campaign settings.

So, it's not perfect, but it's something.
