Expanded Arcana Bug?

According to the Feat, a Sorcerer who takes this can either gain 1 spell added their known at their highest or lower level or 2 spells added to their known at 1 level or more lower than their highest known.

The SRD has not changed the wording on this feat so it should still work as it is written. However when making a 3rd level Sorcerer who can cast 1st level and level 0 spells, the feat only allows them to either select 1 level 0 spell or if you check the "2 spells" box 2 level 0 spells.

Am I missing something that does not allow this feat to work as intended by its wording or is this a bug?

Thanks.

We've added extra instructions to the text of this feat as presented in Hero Lab to tell you how to set the level you want it to apply to.

I did see that however there is still another problem with the feat that the instructions do not cover. I was able to get the feat to select spell levels however it seems to be bugged where it only selects the highest level the character can cast at ANY level which is not how the feat is supposed to work. Is there a hidden option somewhere I am missing that needs to be checked as all the drop down menu's only allow the highest spell level to be selected (not the highest for the character at the time of taking the feat as it is worded).

Thank you.

Add a couple of class levels, select the spell level you want, and then delete the excess class levels.

Ok so for a single class sorcerer for example, the feat does not seem to work as you described if the character is made by selecting 9 class levels (adding all nine at once) in sorcerer who plans to take this feat multiple times. It seems to register if you literally build the character level by level and select the in play option during the level the feat is taken.

It's not a bug, it's a feature, as they say.

Hero Lab doesn't track what level any certain feat was taken, thus in cases like this we assume the highest possible level taken, to give you maximum flexibility. As you said, you can build your character level by level if you need to verify that your selection was valid at a certain level that the feat was taken.

We just had the weirdest kinda-bug. Adding Expanded Arcana to a Sorcerer who had taken it four times before, but this time using the two spell option for the first time. Checked the bottom instance of the feat, put in the spells, saved the portfolio.

Upon reopening the portfolio, the second of the two spells was reset to level 0 and the portfolio gives an error. This happened no matter what level below the highest and above 0 the spells were set to.

After much trial and error, tried checking the top instance of the feat instead of the bottom one. Now it works. Strangeness.
