When there are errors on loading a portfolio, is there an error log created somewhere with more specific information on each of the errors? Where do I find this?

I've been getting more and more errors with some of Frog God Games older dataset (in Pathfinder) and the errors are not very specific for me to try and hunt down to fix. Here's a sample of the errors:

Errors were encountered when loading the saved portfolio! If you notice incorrect behaviors in your portfolio, please report it to the data file authors (you can contact them from the Help menu).

Critical information not found in data files: Source 'FGG Pathfinder Content'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Deadmans Chest'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Lost Lands - Stoneheart Valley'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Heart of the Razor'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'FGG Pathfinder Content'
Critical information not found in data files: Source 'Deadmans Chest'

And the data just keeps repeating the same errors about three dozen times.
 
if you right click and select copy it will copy the entire error message. I believe log files are only created for fatal system crashes.

The errors are talking about "Sources" these are the check boxes you turn on on the Configure Your Hero window. The above means the computer you are trying to load the .por files on no longer have these sources. But they where saved at one point when you had them.

If you don't need those sources anymore you can just strip them out. "Portfolio->Strip Missing Sources"

If you need them and you have these addons installed then most likely you are getting an error on Pathfinder load. That is then causing HL to fall into safe mode. That is the error we need to see as its the cause of the issue.

Thank you. I'll do some more digging and see what I can find and do with that info.

The error is occurring on the portfolio load, not HL load.

The portfolios keep track of the sources that were on them when they were last saved. If you don't have those sources in HL anymore you need to strip them out of the portfolio. That's what Shadow is telling you to do.
