The new tutorial for adding bonus feats talks about addin a bonus feat tag. My editing screen does not have that option.

I just went through and added all sorts of class levels to a wide variety of characters, both new and existing. No problems. So you'll need to provide more details on exactly what you're doing, since I'm obviously not understanding. Please outline what steps you're taking so we can repeat them on our end and reproduce the bug. That way, we can either fix it or suggest an alternate course of action for you to get around the problem.

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to this. Colen just added all the bonus feat handling and I haven't been briefed on it yet. So I'll have to get Colen to chime in here.

If this is a custom class, could you email me (colen@wolflair.com) with
the files for that class? I tested a couple of custom classes before
releasing, and it worked fine.

Also, what exactly do you do to make Hero Lab crash? Does it crash as
soon as you add the first level in your custom class? Does this happen
with any other classes or prestige classes?

Oops! That tutorial wasn't intended to be distributed (we redesigned the
bonus feats mechanism to be easier to use, meaning a tutorial wasn't
necessary - there's a short section about it in tutorial #3 now). Did
you access it through a link from somewhere, or did you just find the
file in Explorer? If there's a link still hanging around, we need to
delete it.

Tutorial: I just navigated to the tutorials section and found it there. The FAQ said there was a new tutorial on Feats so that is where I went to find it. I did not use a link to get to it.

That explains it. I neglected to prune the extraneous tutorial files before generating the release. So they ended up distributed, but nothing was linking to them. I have made sure the files get pulled from the next release. Sorry for the confusion.

Please see the info in Tutorial #3 that Colen mentioned previously for details on how the bonus feats now work. The new method is significantly more streamlined than the original approach we came up with.

Whoops, looks like I forgot to change that in the FAQ. Thanks for the
info, I'll get that removed. :)

We narrowed this down to Hero Lab not playing nice when two classes were
defined with the same name (in this case, "Assassin"). It'll be fixed in
the next update.

Thanks for the report!
