Equipment and power points management

Hello

How do you remove an equipment on hero lab (because it is stolen/lost/destroyed) and keep the Equipment feat to the same level ? Because it lowers the PP spent and players can think they can acquire new improvement forgetting that they have paid the Equipment Feat to a certain level.

If you don't refund your players PP for destroyed equipment, add a
"Custom Equipment" item and name it "Destroyed Items". Then just set it
to cost however many power points the destroyed equipment cost the hero.

Two notes-

By concept, equipment is easily breakable (compared to devices) but easily replaceable (just get back to HQ/weapons locker/store and get new one).

Also, if the character's concept evolves to a reduced usage of gadgets, they should be able to transfer those points to other areas. I don't think characters should ever be locked-in to their initial concept- tuning is an integral concept in comic book history...
