I notice that in the data files for the DMG prestige classes the "Red Wizards of Thay" prestige class is missing. Probably this is because that is FR specific and you guys didn't have permission to use it. Oh well. However I am working on a class with a similar enhanced specialization ability (Wizard of High Sorcery from the Dragonlance Setting).
Here is the thing. IF the wizard who takes this class is a specialist wizard in either of 2 schools dependant on his alignment, he may CHOOSE to gain +1 to CL for and +1 to his saving throws against spells of his Specialization. In return he loses access to one additional school, gaining it as a prohibited school but retaining the use of any spells he had learned of that school prior to gaining the class.
IF the Wizard is NOT a specialist wizard already he may then choose to specialize in either of the specific schools dependant on his alignment and then choose his prohibited schools normally. Again he retains the use of spells learned prior to gaining this specialization.
Is this possible in Hero Lab? The first problem I don't know how to solve is how to make a 3rd school prohibited, the second is I am not sure how to set up the "If a specialist wizard then this".
I have lots more questions about other stuff, but I think I'll leave it at this for now. I'm looking forward to attending you guy's seminar at GENCON Indy, see you there!
