The hero labs system is alerting me that I must be level 7 to acquire the faerie dragon familiar using improved familiar.
My current make up is, Fighter 1, Wizard 5, Eldritch Knight 2 with improved familiar taken as my level 7 feat. The only reference I have found to this on the boards is almost identical makeup with the response being "eldritch knight only adds to caster level".
This however is not true. The eldritch knight class ability "Diverse Training", received at level 1, says "He also adds his level to any levels in an arcane spellcasting class for the purpose of meeting the prerequisites for feats."
The improved familiar feat states as prerequisites, "Prerequisites: Ability to acquire a new familiar, compatible alignment, sufficiently high level (see below)."
As the level requirement to acquire the faerie dragon is listed as a prerequisite of the feat, the Diverse Training class feature clearly applies and a wizard 5 eldritch knight 2 character meets the requirements to get the level 7 improved familiars.
With that being said, is there any update planned to correct this oversight?
