Edit Through Title

I was wondering if there is a UI/technical reason why double clicking the title in a topic window doesn't put the topic in edit mode.

Double-clicking any other snippet puts the topic in edit mode with that particular snippet ready to edit, but not the title.

To change the topic title, I have to either click the edit button or double click somewhere else then focus the title.

Not tragic, but a little annoying.

Curious about why this particular inconsistency was done.

Double-clicking the titles does put the topic in Edit mode. At least, it does for me on Windows 7.

It *is* surprisingly finicky, and that may be a bug. You need to already have "focus" on it (click normally on it so the caret is in the title) then double-click. Try that, and see if it works for you.

You are exactly right.

So to edit the title, triple-click. :)

Thanks. Funny how something that simple never occurs to me...

This appears to be a bug. I'll get it onto the bug list. In the meantime, triple-clicking is necessary. :)

Thanks Rob! Make sure it's appropriately sub-terrainian in priority.

I was just looking for some insight into the UI. If it's just a minor bug, that's great.
