Eberron

I run my campaigns in Eberron and I am trying to set hero lab up so I can use Eberron.

Eberron I just so different from the other worlds, it makes it difficult. I need to make all of the dragonmark feats then I have to set up action point. I was wondering if anyone has tackled these problems or at least has some tips.

I have new races, a new class, Infusions, action points, feats, and new types of items that I must add. I am rather new to this program and it is all rather overwhelming, If I could get any help at all with any of these thing It would be really appreciated

any help would be great, Thanks

If you want to start with something specific, post it here and we'll do
our best to help you get stuff set up. :)

I have been trying to work out the dragon mark feats first. I want to have the drop down menu, for each dragonmark, but they all have multiple spells to. So, I was going to work out the aberrant dragonmark feat, which I only need a drop down menu for spells.

I know I could make a feat for each, but I want it to be neater than that

Unfortunately, it's currently not possible to customise what appears in
the feat drop-down menus, so for now you'll have to make a feat for each
if you want to make use of them. :(

This is one of the places where Hero Lab currently can't handle
everything needed for supplement stuff very well, and we have a solution
mapped out to fix it. Unfortunately, that pesky "not enough hours in the
day" thing keeps hitting us, so we haven't got it implemented yet. :(

Hope this helps,

I am a computer science major and I know some programming. The problem is I have never learned OO programming so using GUI is a little foreign to me. I don't learn that till next year. That and I am not familiar with the language that the program is written. If I can get some of these hurdles out of the way I could work on some of these problems my self.

My main issues with creating Eberron are I need the changeable drop down menus, action points, and infusions.

There are other problems that I will need to address later, such as dragon shards and such, but the above mentioned problems are whats stopping me now.

So any help I can get with those would be very usefull.

Hey Lion Knight,

I am too going to run Eberron. The way I am doing Dragon marks is I am making Templates to account for the various spells with the feat a prerequisite. It's not perfect but it works. Hope this helps.

Changeable drop-down menus currently aren't possible right now, but we
want to get them added in the future, so keep your eyes peeled.

Action points are already implemented - on the Configure Hero form,
click the Rulesets button and choose Optiona Rules -> Use Action Points.

I believe (although I could be wrong) that Infusions work just like
spells - in which case, you should add them just like you would spells
for a new class. The final tutorial in the editor documentation should
help you with this.

Hope this helps,

I found the action points but is there any way to modify them. There are many Eberron feats that modify or affect action points.

The big problem with infusions was that they are neither Arcane nor divine spells. It is a small issue, but It affects prestige class pre-reqs.

And I am just going to have to do some of the stuff the hard way until there is an update that allows, for changeable drop downs. I know it will be difficult to change it because it is probably a class and you would have to make new one foe each new drop drop down menu. yay arrays!

I'll add documentation on how you can modify action points for the next release.

For infusions, that's easy - a class doesn't need to cast arcane or divine spells, you can just select "None" (it's one of the droplists under "Spellcasting Stuff" in the editor).

Stay tuned on the changeable dropdown stuff - I'll let you know when we get that integrated. :)
