Hi all,

I'm managing my Middle Earth CCG collection with Card Vault and have
been trying to figure out a way to display the card ID as a sortable
column. I can't seem to figure out how to do this. I could just
create a whole new group and call it "ID", but then I'd have to
manually re-enter each number for each card. It seems like there
should be an easier way than this. I have a feeling it has something
to do with the fact that the card ID is an attribute and not an
element, but I am still stumped. Any help for this XML newbie would
be appreciated...

Thanks,
--Bob

There is no way to filter or sort on the unique id of cards. All filtering,
sorting, and views are based on tag groups and the tags assigned to cards.
For many game systems, the card number is associated with the card as a
tag, allowing it's use. From a quick look at the Middle Earth files, it
appears the author did not do this. I have no idea whether that's due to a
simple oversight or that the card number information was unavailable to the
author.

I recommend contacting the data file author about this. If it was just an
oversight, it might be relatively straightforward to get this added in an
updated release. If the data wasn't available, perhaps you can work with
the author to provide the data so that it can be added.

Thanks, Rob
