Druid's Nature Sense

New member
I'm new to using the Hero Lab program so maybe I'm just missing something but I'm building a druid and notice that he seems to get the bonus for Nature's Sense for the Survival skill but not for the Knowledge (Nature) skill.

When I add the skill to the list of skills it starts at 0 and if I put 1 point into it, it bumps up to +7.

Also I noticed that this human druid starts at 7 skill points to use. I'm not sure how it gets to 7 because 4 + 1 (wisdom mod, wisdom is 13) + 1 for human bonus = 6.

Can anyone explain what is going on?

Thanks,

~Mike

Knowledge skills are based on Int. So what is your Int modifier? I am going to guess its 12 or 13. This would give 1 rank, +3 class skill, +2 nature sense bonus, and +1 from Int equals +7.

Number of skills is also based on Int so going to with again that you have a 12 or 13. You also get a Favored Class bonus of +1HP or +1 skill.

So assuming you never changed the default favored class bonus of +1 skill the following works out:
+4 from class, +1 from Int, +1 from human, +1 favored class = 7.

Hope that helps.

Yeah you're right that makes sense on the total skill points but with nature's sense why does the skill start at 0? Shouldn't it start at +2? Is it because its a trainable skill and you don't get any bonuses without at least putting 1 point in it?
