Does anyone know how to make a legendary item that's not weapon/armour?

I'm trying to make a mythic characters legendary ring and for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it. Regular magic items e.g. ring of protection don't have that option only things like custom magic weapons or custom magic armour let you tick a legendary box in the item creation so you can select it on the mythic tab. Does anyone know how to make a regular magic item e.g. boots of elven kind available for that selection?

Use the editor:
- Create a data file with a relevant name (your name, campaign, PC)
- Go to the "Equipment" then (for example) "Ring" tab.
- Click on "New (Copy)" and copy the ring of protection (for example)
- Tick the Legendary Item box, and select Artifact if required.
- Add any Legendary item abilities you want
- Delete or create a new source, save the item with a unique name and id.
- Save the file, click on "Test now"

You should now be able to add the item to a PC.

Thanks I was afraid that was the only way but hoped I'd missed a way to just tick a box and use the mythic ability like you do for weapons and armour rather than needing to make a copy of it with 1 - 3 mythic abilities picked.
