Not with the exchange rate...

Subject: Item costs

Under the daemonhunters codex psychic powers don't count towards the
wargear limit. I don't really want to deal with them as options since
the option list for an Inquisitor is already quite long. I suppose
upping it from 33 to 40 isn't too bad if all else fails :)

Anyway I've devised a way of taking them as items and still getting a
validation message if more than 100 points of wargear are selected even
though ipts has been set to 175 for inquisitors (the maximum that could
in theory be spent combining wargear and psychic powers). So although
someone may spend 120 points on items only 100 of that can be spent on
wargear, the other 20 has to be spent on psychic powers, otherwise a
validation message is given warning that too much has been spent on
wargear.

There is probably a better way of doing it. Is there a field for ipts
that can be adjusted from within the item? This appears to be possible
for an option using ichg:-10 for example. No such attribute appears for
items though.

I could just see how people get on with this. If it proves too different
to how items normally work for people to cope with then I can change
them to options.

Any suggestions welcome.

Cheers

What if you set them up like the psychic power selector on the CSM list? I
mean, Inqisitors are only allowed one power anyway. Then whenever you add a
familair to your retinue, just add another scrolling selector. Does that
make sense, or am I just complicating things?

Thanks, I'll look at that.
