Well, you´ve got a problem. =
Although I know that Rob
has been trying to get a german distribution running, the
only sources I found where you can buy AB in Germany
"officially" have ridiculous prices (about $70 for the CD).
I ordered one in US with my credit card for a friend of mine
some time ago. I could do the same for you. But you have to
think of postage and package as well as the possible custom
fees and the cost to ship it from my place to you. This adds
up rather quick but it will still be a little less than $70.
For v2.0 and if you don´t want the CD version, maybe we can
arrange somehow so you can send the money to me and Rob will
charge my creditcard for your key.
E-mail me privately in german if you are interested. If you
want to get it as fast as possible and don´t care about the
$70, I also can search for the link of the company that sold
it online.
bye

Subject: quick (I hope) question
Here's the scenario, and I can't quite figure out how to make it work.
In DBM, the General's element costs either 10 or 20 points more than a
normal element. No prob, that works fine.
However, if an army is taken as an ally to another army, that same
general's surcharge drops to 5 or 10 points.
What I need is a hidden option that kicks in whenever the main army (race)
is different than the race the general belongs to.
The particular example I'm working on has the general in race 'ht' and the
main race as 'iq.'
I've got an option for the 'ht' general that has 'legl:race=iq' but it
doesn't seem to ever kick in.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Your use of "legl" ought to be the optimal solution. Is the option attached
as "auto"?? If you have it attached as "incl", it won't serve any useful
purpose.
I suggest making the option NOT hidden at first to verify that
the option is appearing properly for the general when in the "iq" race.
Thanks, Rob

It's working now. Don't know what part I had missed before, as I thought I
had included everything you mention below. I probably didn't do it all at
once.
BTW, have I mentioned that I LOVE the unam attribute? Being able to change
your CinC to a "Kushan Ally General" is damn cool.
And the -time feature saves so much work, it's amazing.
Thanks, Rob. 2.0 keeps kicking more butt every day, and it hasn't even hit

There is a retailer locator page on the web-site at the top of the Ordering
page. This list is far from complete, though, as it will be updated along
with the entire site in the next couple of weeks. Your best bet is to
simply contact your local retailer and ask him to order it for you. Army
Builder is in distribution through all the major distributors, except for
one, and that one WILL have V2.0 when it is released. Consequently, every
retailer in the US has ready access to the product through their normal
distributors.
As for waiting for V2.0, there is no real need to do so. Unless you really
want the new V2.0 box and packaging, go out and get the V1.4 CD now. For
owners of the V1.4 CD, V2.0 will simply be a free download from our
web-site. This will eliminate having to wait for almost a month to start
using the product.
Thanks, Rob
