KERNEL32.dll is an operating system file that controls the way that
the operating system looks at the memory. There are a couple
fixes.
1)If you are using Windows XP, go the the properties screen of the
Armby Builder exe file, and run in Windows 98 compatability mode.
This may help. If not, go to the system restore function, and
return the registry to a date prior to your getting this error. If
this doesn't work, boot your system to the Windows XP cd and hit
<enter>, <f8>, then <r>. This will conduct a Windows repair.
Warning : this may disconnect some of your applications, and you may
have to reinstall them. DO THIS OPTION ONLY IF NECESSARY.
2)If using Windows ME, you should try the system restore, and if
that doesn't work, then put the Windows ME CD in the drive, and run
Setup.exe from the root directory. This second option is also a
little dangerous.
3)Windows 98. then you should run a scanreg /restore to 5 days ago
in a pure dos environment. Only do this withthe assistance of the
technical support division of the company you bought your computer
from.
One last, and depserate solution would be to download Regcleaner
from www.download.com This is a free program. After installing the
program, open it, and click on <tools>, then <registry cleanup>,
then <do them all>. This is a great little program, but it is the
sign that your computer's operating system is very sick.
As a note, if you are getting a KERNEL32.dll error, then your
operating system IS corrupt. No if's, and's, or but's. Your
problems are bigger than Army Builder, but this will hopefully keep
you from having to format your hard drive (although that may have to
be done soon anyway).
