According to my store, the new Citadel Journal with the Skaven units is not
yet out in the US and therefore, I need to have the CJ before I put them in

Subject: How can I get a preacher in the space marine ab file?
I know the preacher is in ab, i can find his stata and points in the
kit that allows you to create new data files, however he is not in
the heros of the imperium section, the missioany and confessor are
also missing and I am afraid that the creator of the ab files forgot
some of the neatest models in the game!

Just a reminder that questions regarding the 40k files should be

As for the question at hand. From page 260 of the Warhammer 40,000
rule book:
"... Missionaries and Confessors may not join Space Marine units.
Preachers can be included in Imperial Guard and Sisters of Battle
armies as unit leaders."
Since that effectively limits them to Imperial Guard armies (Sisters
of Battle now have their own version in Chapter Approved) they are
only in the Imperial Guard army files as a standard unit and not in
the 'Heroes of the Imperium' sub-file.
