I would like to formally submit the Necrons data file for Army
builder and maintain it.

Hello Brian,
Thank you for your email. My apologies for taking this long to get
back to you. We've been pretty busy and a little understaffed.
You will make a lot of people happy with your Necrons file. There is
already an author for the 40K file, and that is the person you need
to coordinate with to get your Necrons updates posted. You may also
want to coordinate with the author about having you maintain the
Necrons file. Here's what you have to do:
Contact the data file author of the current 40K data files and let
him/her know that you have updates for Necrons. To contact the data
file author, from within Army Builder, with the data files for the
game system loaded, go to the Help menu and select "Contact Data File
Author". This will typically launch your email program with an email
to the author. In some cases, the email address is instead displayed
in a dialog that appears when you load the data files. As a last
resort, the author's contact info will be found on our web-site. Go
to the "Army Builder Downloads" section and select "Retrieve Data
Files". Pick the genre of the game and you should see the logo of the
game displayed. The author's email address should be shown next to
the game.

Lupe

I keep getting an error from ABDef.exe:
Leader Abbreviation is too long.
I used the tutorial definition file as a template, made changes I
think wil work. Have not put in any strings that were longer than the
originals. What might my problem be?
Thanks,
Peter

Make sure that there is no whitespace after the line that defines
what your leader is called. This includes spaces or tabs after the
Leader name.
As a matter of fact, make sure there are no blank lines in yru file
at all. I noticed the system seems to hate these.
Cheers,
Graham T.
