I haven't done this myself, but I think using lglx:race=(the race it's
being bought for) on the option with xcmp should only allow that option
to only function when it's being deployed as part of the other race.

Is there a way to have a unit reassign it's Composition when it is
selected as an ally? I've played around with "xcmp:" but it reassigns
the Comp for the primary race as well. For example:

Race 1 has Unit A as Troop choice. Race 2 can take Unit A but, it
becomes a Support choice for Race 2.

Thanks,

Keith

Maybe have option 1 activate a hidden option a. Option A exists for
units A & B, and activates option 2.

Subject: [AB] Data File help

Hello,

I have what is most likely a frequent question but I cannot find the
answer.

Suppose I have a unit "A" with options 1,3,5
And a child unit "B" with options 2,4,6

There exists a 1:1 relationship between 1,2 and 3,4 and 5,6

How do I get unit B to automatically pick the corresponding option (2,4,
or 6) based on what the user selects for A (1, 3 or 5)?

If it helps, pretend that Unit A is Knights and Option 1 is Barding
Unit B is Knight Leader and Option 2 is Leader Barding.
If the Knights take Barding the (child) leader unit must take Leader
Barding.

Thanks in advance for your help,
John

The other thing to try is to make all the options on the offending units
into cost-natured options (and unhide them all). The unit ought to load
(I think), and then you can test option combos until you find the
offender.

Alternatively, skip out various option attributes until it works.

Sounds like corruption in one of the data files...
Try using abcreate /t to create a text version of the file - eyeball
that with something like excel (it's a tab seperated file) and then
recreate your data file from the text file using abdata. If there's
errors there, abdata will probably find them.
Make sure you backup the data files first!

Don't think there's any other way I could help without actually
seeing the files...

Cheers,
Russell.

Found the problem guys. It was my error that caused it. I had the "unit" attribute add the option id instead of the unit id.

Thanks,

Keith
