OK. I have been using pre/suffixing and thought maybe this would
shortcut some of the work on a new system I am creating. If re-
implemented it seems it could cut down on the work when taking raw
data from something like excel w(here it is convenient to work with
integers) to a dice syntax which has 'intelligence' in that it knows
that when the dice is D6 and the value is 7 that the proper out put
is 1D6+1 - or something similar. No big shake though, I'll just write
a quick preparser.
Thanks for the reply,
Errett

Is the person who wrote the Wargods db here? There is a problem when I am
making a roster for Sebeki. It keeps telling me I have an Anubi character
in my roster whenever I add a Beloved of Sebek.

Subject: moving Army Builder between computers?
Third f'n time I've posted this; Yahoo must be eating my posts or something. GRRR...
Is it possible to move an installed copy of AB (and AB Construction Kit) to another computer,
without reinstalling it? I'd like to because my only computer access right now is a computer lab
and I'd like to stick the program on a zipdisk and move it to the harddrive (and later back to the
zipdisk) whenever I want to use it rather than going through the whole install process then
copying my rosters, data, and units folders every time.
I tried just copying c:\armybuilder (where the program is installed to) but when i try to run it
later on a different computer I get a "missing component" error. I guess some files are getting
installed to other parts of the c: drive. Can anyone tell me what these files are and what
directories they're going in?
Or is what i'm trying to do not possible for some reason?
Thanks to anyone who can help (and lets hope this msg doesn't vanish into internet oblivion)

Subject: Celestial Body Guard Error Any Fixes??
I have a question on the warhammer 40K data file.
I was trying to use the sisters of battle to test out the army
builder and I like it so far but I think there is an error in the
celestian bodyguard.
I tried to put this squad together and it keeps giving me a
validation error at the bottom any fixes to it?
Squad Example
Canoness
Celestian bodyguard
- Banner Bearer (Sacred Standard, Bolter, Power weapon)
- Hospitaller (medicus ministorum, bolter, power weapon)
- Famulos (flamer, power weapon)
- Imagefier (Hvy Flamer, power weapon)
- Veteran Sister Superior (power weapon, bolter)
When I was in the APbuilder using data file 3.9 I selected the
Canoness, then added the celestian bodyguard then I clicked add for
the above models. Then I added the power weapons and took 2 bolters
off and clicked on the Celestian Bodyguard to add the Hvy Flamer,
and flamer when I do I get this validation error at the bottom -
Validation: Unit 'Celestian Bodyguard' must have one weapon for
every model in the unit - currently some models have more then one.
any fix for this??
I have only been able to fix it when I don't add the exact models
which then you can't add war gear.
TIA for the help.
Troy

Is there any way to move a copy of AB & AB Construction Kit between
computers without reinstalling it completely? I tried just moving
the entire c:\armybuilder directory from one computer to a zipdisk
and then on to the new computer in the same directory but I get an
error about 'missing components'. I'm guessing there are some files
that get put in other directories. Anyone know which files in what
directories?
I need to be able to do this cause i'm at college and my only
computer access is the Computer Lab so I'd like to be able to move a
copy of AB with me without having to reinstall every time I want to
use it.
Thanks!
