Subject: INCL linkage, and Option costs.

So, I'm finally working on my first serious AB fileset (Warhammer
Fantasy V3 - yep, the 1987 version) and I've run into an issue that I
haven't cracked yet.

I want a unit to INCL a horse, and the horse to have the option of
barding. If the barding is selected, I want the cost added to the
parent unit cost.

This issue can also be seen in the TUT data files - a great resource,
btw. Select the Elf Army, Elf Light Cavalry, Warhorse and select the
barding option. Although the cost is (1), the parent unit cost is
not changed.

Anything I've missed that'll make me go "Dough!"?

DeVerne

It's not. You need 2 Troops and an HQ.

It seems that the files doesn't think that two infantry platoons and
an ogryn squad is enough to fulfill the requiements for a standard
org. chart.

I had this happen to me today with BT marines & a razorback. It claimed
that a 5 man squad couldn't fit in a razorback. Unselecting & reselecting
the razorback made the problem go away.

This problem is already known and on the list to be resolved, if it hasn't
already been.

actually, I don't know why this happens. It doesn't happen to me at all...
but as several have stated, deselecting it and reselecting makes the error
go away... I can't control that. Rob?

I agree, the problem is intermittant -- it feels like an AB defect, not a
problem with the datafile.
