That seems fair to me. How else would you be able to do it? AFAIK AB
doesn't give you room to do an if statement or multiplication - but I don't
know for sure.

If there is anything you would need from me, please shout. I have a
couple of the RT era books, so between us we should be able to make all of
this work out.

Does this mean that you will give the datafiles a go?

Scott

Wasn't there an article from GW that allowed for a free Aspiring Champion
upgrade in a squad if the squad numbers matched that of the relative chaos
power? i.e. Nurgle is 7, Khorne 8, etc..

AB does not seem to support this but I thought GW put this out at
sometime......

So far, all's they've said was for the Emperor's Children (6) and World
Eaters (8). And the files show that.

The only rule that I know of that supports Sacred Numbers is the one for
Cult Terminator squads from the Chapter Approved book.

That would appear so,

Only in the Index Astartes articles involving the World Eaters (Khorne) and the Emperor's Children (Slannesh) do they stipulate this rule.

I imagine the Thousand Sons (Tzeentch) and the Death Guard (Nurgle will get the same). Otherwise, other legions either represent Chaos Undivided or total psychos (Night Lords).

It may become a rule in the eventual Codex Chaos REVISED planned by GW. (but that is my opinion)

I don't think they got a free Aspiring Champion. It
was for cult marines like the Thousand Sons who don't
get Aspiring Champions. You get to roll for possession
as long as the unit is at their sacred number. One of
them could then be possessed. I believe it was a
Chapter Approved in one of the White Dwarves. I don't
remember which one.

it essentially has to be the cult terminators or one one of the cult legions that have been published to get the free upgrade as of now ( as previously stated). the latest version of army builder seems to support this but still gives me the warning sign when i take Kharn as my only HQ choice in a world eaters army ........ arrrrghhhhhh.

Shawn answered this for you once already. The army list entry for
Kharn is worded something like this:

"A Chaos army may include Kharn as an HQ choice..."

While the entry for someone like Abbadon is worded like this:

"A Chaos army may be led by Abbadon..."

Therefore since his rules do not specifically state that Kharn may
lead your army you are still required to have another HQ choice to
lead the army.

Ok ok ok... i have been musing over the idea and i will start with a
" . RTG " As in Rogue trader character generation
[which i can modify to convert stats for necro and 2nd ed]

Then go for the full blown thing of a ".RT" file. It seems the easiest way.

So this is what i need.

a) To email me in pvt so we can discuss the Personalities section
b) Some coffee
c) Time
