Take Colonel Straken. What's that attached to him? Why, it's a command
section.

Nowhere does the file say he's a command choice... he can either be taken
as an Elites on his own, or as a child of a Sniper unit.

You must be joking, GW is calling their program "Space Marine

should be liable to suffer some type of penalty for ripping off someone

the product yet, so I am unsure as to how close it is to the original" Army

I've seen and used the GW Army builder, apart from the fact it's incredibly
limited, all it is is some fancy ass graphics, it's a pain in the ass to
use, and no where near as user friendly as the real army builder.

Hi Colen
I've just had a quick look at the Void files everything seems to be OK.
I think that Battles with Minatures is due over the next few days (need to
confirm with Andy Leask), so there will be more units to add!
That said if you are stuck for time I can do them over Christmas if you
like, 10 days off work yeahey.

Hi,
Has anyone used Army Builder in conjunction with any Role Playing Games?
I am currently putting together a data file for Vampire the Masquerade, as
there are no random rolls in Vampire character creation AB lends itself
quite well.

Nothing that I'm aware of. What sort of things would you need to track?

Generation, traits, equipment, flaws, diciplines... I think it would
lend it self to AB very well...

There seem to be one or two of you interested in it... why not hack
something up between you?

this is what it says when you have both specail charaters.
Your army must have one general / commander / or what ever in your
army.

AB's primary limitation with RPGs is its output. The output of AB is
designed for a roster of units or at least a set of characters (e.g.
Mordheim warbands). If you expect to make serious use of AB for Vampire,
you will probably want to make use of AB's XML output. This way, you can
take the output from AB and generate true character sheets from it.
Otherwise, I think AB would work well for Vampire.
Hope this helps,
Rob

was very careful and legally has a leg to stand on in court.I have not seen
the product yet, so I am unsure as to how close it is to the original" Army
Builder." But judging from the name itself ,I fear the worst.

I am currently putting together a data file for Vampire the Masquerade, as
there are no random rolls in Vampire character creation AB lends itself
quite well.

I've got the month off from University - working 9 hours a week at work
now. Fantastic

Hope this helps,
Rob

I thought about using it for Warhammer Fantasy Role Playing, but didn´t have
the time to think about it thoroughly.
Any help would be welcome,
