Upgrade your files to Beta-IV, it was fixed by then.

That's the second request in not much time, how odd. It's not meant to
be removed - it gives you important information about a lot of stuff
which it's of your advantage to know about. If it could be easily
disabled by anyone, they'd just forget it and start sending me emails
saying "why can't my scout sergeants take sniper rifles?".

And it's hardly an advert, is it? If we said "Why not buy AutoSkrill
v2", then it would be an advert. That's not a bad idea, actually... :)

Basing a game system on "on 2/12/99, Game Designer S. Krill said at a
convention 'oh yeah, you can do this'" is, to my mind, stupidity. Before
I go any further, apologies to everyone I just insulted there. :) If
it's published in Chapter Approved, it's added. If it's in a codex, it's
added. If it was GW's intent to let the Orks take any vehicle from any
Imperial Codex, WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THEY SAY THAT IN THE CODEX! Or at
least, put footnotes in said Imperial codex, "Note that any Ork army can
loot these vehicles". Or even put a thing in Chapter Approved!

This is one of the things that annoys me about Games Workshop. :P

Hi there,

first I've got to excuse my bad english - sorry. I was wondering, have you
planned to create new files for Warhammer Fantasy (Empire and Orks)?
I'm not a member of your mailing list, but if that would be an easy way to
get informed about new files and stuff, please include me.
And by the way, you're doing a great job on all that armybuilder stuff!!! My
girlfriend and I really have had more time playing the game than calculating
the armies - thanx to you.

I thought I had already done that so, I just downloaded and imported
the latest file to be sure and ... It still behaves the same way.

When mission type other than 'Standard Mission' is selected,
the 'Other' box disappears. This is true for all IG army lists I
believe.

Actually there is a very low volume egroup that just puts out notices for new releases of ArmyBuilder files. It's name is AB-files. I post a note of a new version there - just like that is where I put the files now. Oh and your English was very good nothing to sneeze at - better than most US High School students graduating now.

Christepher

P.S. I am sending directly to you the latest files.

You'll find data files that include Empire and Orcs in the AB-Files forum
of eGroups. I recommend you subscribe to that group, because you are
notified whenever updates to the files are released. You can access the
files directly by going to www.skrill.org, clicking on Army Builder, and
then retrieving the files you want.

Thanks, Rob

Terribly sorry that i missed the first request. i
don't read every posting here and I hadn't noticed a
subject heading addressing this issue.

Besides, I found a way to disable it and no, I'm not
one to complain about sergeants not having sniper
rifles. The FAQ is nice enough but nothing new that
isn't in a word document format. I keep up on the game
well enough on my own.

Thanks anyways though. I really did want the
'advert/notice/annoyance' gone and since I'm the
customer . . .

And no its not an advert but as bothersome as if it
were one.

Dammit! I thought I'd released that one. Sorry :(

It'll be fixed in the next version.

Yes this is true for all IG. I also just re-downloaded Beta IV, and
on anything besides Standard Mission the " Other " section where you
get infantry squads from is missing.

Ok, I'm not a member of the mailinglist, but I was wondering if you
had any updated datafiles for Warhammer 6th Edition Orcs & Goblins and Empire
since the relase of additional rules for those armies? If so, where can I
get them? Thanks so much!!!!

No Problem. Your efforts in maintaining these datafiles are very
much appreciated!!!!

As Chick Hearn would say,

Fair enough. I understand why you don't change your datafiles based on
things like this; you can't track them down, and shouldn't. I also wish
they'd make it that obvious.
Mostly just wondering if anyone else sighted the same thing.

Since the game has now been released for, what, a few days now, I think
it's safe to say no. :-)

That doesn't mean that someone won't be tackling it in the near future,
just that no files exist yet. If you want to write them, I'd be happy to
support your efforts. :-)

New files are sitting in the downloads section of the
ab-files egroup. New armies include the Adeptus
Arbites, Adeptus Mechanicus, Inquisition, Squats, and
Necrons. Note these are all small armies as I have
tried to use "official" only rules. In the future an
augment file will be available to people who don't
mind playing with expanded rules adapted from RT and
3rd edition, but for now I'm staying to the official
codexes. Not long to go now and all the official 2nd
edition codexes wll be programmed in. Enjoy!
