One fine day in the middle of the night, Guy McLean <mclean@filtec.com>
got up to write:

>Army list: Blood Angels Army of Death
>Squad: Space marine scout squad w/ vet. sarge (5 total men)
>Weapons: Heavy Bolter, three snipers, bolt pistol & ccw
>points: 135
>
>Frag grenades can be given to entire squad for 1pt/ea.

>When I select Frag grenades, the points cost goes up six points to

All units in the Army of Death cost 25% more than normal. Army Builder
is just adding the extra points. After all, 5 * 1.25 is 6.25, which will
be rounded to 6 in most situations.

I'm so happy that there is such a thing as egroups so that I can
publicly display my ignorance. =)

I guess I thought that the AOD was just another name for BA's.
That's
what I get for randomly choosing armies and not having the rules.
BTW, where are the rules/fluff for AOD?

I assume that there is no Death Co. for AOD (which is why it didn't
show up as a squad choice . . . really glad that I didn't ask that
question now).

Thanks for your help!

Doh!

I had not realised that you had changed the name of the new warmaster
files, so when i downloaded the new ones i very smartly opened up the
old one again.

So a new question, how do i delete out the old warmaster files, can i
unimport them?, or is it as simple as deleting the files from the
data directory?

He's designated as a Special Character, right? Well, that means that he
doesn't automatically get access to the special item groups. So, you have
to specifically give him that access. Use the "spec" attribute to
officially give your character access to the magic item categories that the
two itesm belong to.

Thanks, Rob

Delete all the files with the out-dated file extension (e.g. "*.old") from
the Data directory. The game system will disappear.

This is really odd. I've heard of no other problems like you are reporting.
AB uses the same mechanism that an email program would typically use to
launch the default browser. All that AB does is tell Windows that look up
the proper program to open up the specified web-page (i.e. a browser) and
then tell the browser to go there.

Try the following. Click on the link below from your email program. Does it
work?

http://www.wolflair.com/Army_Builder/Product_Downloads/product_downloads.htm

If the above link works, I have no idea what's going wrong. the above link
is the link specified within the auto-update stuff. That means that above
link from your email program ought to be working the exact same as from AB.
If the link does NOT work from your email, then most likely your computer
is not configured to have IE handle ".htm" files (while it likely handles
many others). This would need to be corrected within IE.

Hope this helps,
Rob

Thanks for your reply. The link in the email did work, although the link in
ab did not, but its not that big of a deal.

Thanks again,
Paul

Greetings All,
AB v2 shows me that there is an update available in the upper right.
However, when I click on it, an error comes up saying that I must have
either IE or Netscape as my default browser. I have IE as the default
browser.

Hyperlinks work in other locations (email, web links, desktop links,
etc),
but not when I click the auto update.

Any suggestions on how to correct this? Apart from totally reinstalling
IE.
I have reinstalled AB to make sure that I did that correctly.

I have also tried it by having a IE window open before clicking on the
update, that also did not work.

Thanks,
Paul

I've logged this as a bug, but I have no idea why this would be happening.
Are you using Outlook or Outlook Express as your email program? If so, then
the test I specified may be invalid, because those two programs will
sometimes look for IE even if it is not properly configured to be launched
automatically. I'm not sure of a valid test if you are using one of those
email programs.

Thanks, Rob
