You need to actually take a Mark of Chaos before you're allowed to chose
psychic powers.

Hmm... which army? I just added a Dragon Blade (125 points) to a Chaos
Lord with no problems.

Subject: RE: hello & question
I was trying to add the named Bretonnian (and later, Wood Elf) characters
from the "Perilous Quest" campaign pack; I was classing them as Special
Characters, and giving them their virtues, basic equipment choices, etc..
Everything lookes fine in ABCreator; then I go to AB, pull up the character,
and when I get to "Choose Magic Items", all it gives me to chose from is
"Special Items". No weapons, armor, nothing...now, while playing around with
joe-blow General & Heros last night, we discovered that when you've taken
full armor, you won't be able to chose a magic version; but I couldn't even
take Bound Items, nor Enchanted Items, and the 2 ppl I entered were a Hero
(Agravain), who can take up to 2 magic items, and a Wizard Champion
(Eleanor), who can also take 2...no go.
I have nothing entered in the Box below Options (I don't have the screen up
in front of me here at work). I gave Eleanor the Potion Sacre, using
"take:brsacre"(?) it worked, whatever the ID was; but that was it.
Any help would be great; I guess I could re-enter them anytime I wanted to
use them, but that would get to be a pain. Plus, then I don't learn about
the program.
Thanks,
Sabrina

This new explanation now makes a LOT more sense, since it fills in all the
missing details. Please strive to provide this level of detail in the
future and you'll get much better answers from us.
The issue is that each category of magic item is made available based on
the unit's CATEGORY. Since you have assigned the category "Special
Character", the default availability of magic items is not enabled. You
also need to use the "catg" attribute to assign the proper additional
category to the unit. The abbreviations for categories are found in the
definition file, as is the list of special item categories and the unit
categories to which they are available by default.
Hope this helps,
Rob

We just encountered a problem with the Mordheim Data File for 2.0 (The Latest release of the Data File). Make a Skaven Warband. If your leader dies you have to make a hero the leader. In our case our Black Skaven became the Leader. We then save the roster but if we try to open the roster it fails to open (it says it can't open roster).
Also we've noticed that (again Using Skaven) Mind Focas doesn't come up under Academic (From a Town Cryer)
