Difficulty installin skins, ABv3...

So I've read the instructions on the website over and over, but I must be doing something wrong.

I've taken a the proper skin from the downloads section, and placed it within my Army Builder folder (and in just about every folder in there to be sure) to no luck.

The online instructions just makes it sound like creating the 'altgfx.dll' file automatically makes it override the 'gfxblue.dll'. However, checking my computer turns up no such gfxblue.dll file even ON my computer, not to mention in my Army Builder folders.

Anyone want to give me a walkthrough that makes more sense than renaming a .dll and putting it in a folder to override a file that doesn't exist?

It sounds like you are trying to use skins written for V2.x with V3.x. That's not going to work, as the way skins are handled is substantively different between the two versions. The old V2.x skins won't even be recognized as existing by V3.x, let alone work.

You'll find complete documentation on how to write and utilize V3.x skins within the Authoring Kit manual. The Kit is installed along with the product, so you can access it from the Start menu along side AB itself. The product includes a complete alternate skin that can be referenced as an example if you want.

To my knowledge, the only skins listed on the website are beneath the old V2.x section for the folks who still use the old version. I'm not sure how you got there, but the only way I can find to get there is to go via the downloads section for the old V2.x product.
